Peter Finnigan

Having spent 15 years in commerce, particularly in advertising and marketing, Peter moved into Third Sector work. Using his background, he spent two years advising a number of UK and international charities on communication strategies and supporter recruitment. He then spent six years working with a major UK cancer charity, The Anthony Nolan Trust, before joining The Bhopal Medical Appeal. As executive secretary of the  Bhopal Medical Appeal his main focus now is to expand the work and influence of the organization and to work towards  a clean-up of the old Union Carbide factory in Bhopal, the site of the world’s worst industrial disaster. An estimated 25,000 people have now died in Bhopal as a direct result of this tragedy, and the number continues to rise.
For a number of years, Peter has also been involved with various NGO's in Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Namibia and Ecuador.
